NBS: Inflation rises to 22.04% in Nigeria

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says Nigeria’s inflation now stands at 22.04 per cent.

According to NBS, the consumer price index (CPI), which measures the rate of change in prices of goods and services, rose to 22.04 per cent in March 2023

In February, headline inflation was 21.91%.

This was contained in the latest CPI report released on Saturday by the NBS.

The report also indicates that food inflation was 24.45% in March 2023 from 24.35% in February 2023. 

Urban inflation was 23.07% while rural Inflation was 21.09%.
