Two days after inauguration, Rivers governor swears-in new commissioners

Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers state, has inaugurated his new commissioners three days after the inauguration of his administration.

The governor disclosed this through his Twitter handle on Wednesday.

“As you are sworn in as Commissioners and appointees today, I charge you to see this appointment as an opportunity to exude patriotism and offer selfless service to the state to enable our administration to succeed’, the governor said.

It was unclear whether the appointees and members of the state executive council (SEC) were screened and confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly.
