The Super Falcons of Nigeria have dropped out from the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The women’s team of the giant of Africa will not play in the quarter-final.

This development comes after the Super Falcons lost to England via penalty shoot-out in the round of 16 on Monday.

The well-played match ended with a 0-0 draw with England after 120 minutes and resulted in a penalty shoot-out.

Desire Oparanozie and Michelle Alozie missed their spot-kicks during the penalty shoot-out.

The quarter-final stages will take place on Friday and Saturday.

Despite dropping out of the tournament, President Tinubu commended the team for their performance.
