The federal government has announced that over 200 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations will be built nationwide in a few months.
Olusegun Dada, special assistant to the president on social media disclosed this in a post on X on Monday.
“Updated list of CNG conversion centres across Nigeria. Over 200 centres are expected to be built over the next few months as the Presidential CNG Initiative ramps up its adoption model,” he wrote.
“I’ll continue to post updated CNG conversion centres. The plan is to have it in every nook and cranny of the nation. Don’t allow mischievous elements to allow you to believe otherwise.”
He provided a comprehensive list of CNG conversion centres across the country.
Recall that the federal government launched the Presidential CNG Initiative (Pi-CNG) as part of the palliative intervention of the Tinubu administration directed at assisting the masses occasioned by the transitive hardships of the fuel subsidy by the administration.
The government also promised that it would soon roll out 11,500 vehicles powered by compressed natural gas (CNG).
