JUST IN: Buhari fires two ministers, check their names

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday sacked the ministers of power and agriculture and rural transformation.

ABUJA – President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday sacked the ministers of power and agriculture and rural transformation. 

The president relieved Saleh Mamman and Sabo Nanono of their duties as ministers.

The minister of environment, Muhammad Mahmood has been named as the agric minister; while the minister of state for works and housing, Abubakar Aliyu has been asked to act as substantive power minister. 

Meanwhile, Goddy Jedy Agba remains the minister of state for power.

The development came at today’s federal executive council meeting.
