The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says the country’s headline inflation has attained 25.80 per cent.

According to the latest CPI inflation published on Friday, August 2023 inflation rose to 25.80 per cent from 24.08 per cent recorded in July.

The report indicates that the new inflation figure represents a 1.72 per cent increase when compared to July 2023.

On a year-on-year measurement, the inflation rate was 5.27 per cent up from the inflation recorded in August 2022, which was 20.52 per cent.
