Akure, Nigeria
Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo State, has inspected road projects in Akure, the state capital.
Aiyedaitwa took over the reign of power and governance of the state after the demise of his principal, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
The Governor had a few weeks ago ordered contractors handling road projects across the State to immediately return to sites and ensure the timely completion of the projects.
While inspecting some ongoing projects on Monday promised that the long-overdue Oda road dualization project which commenced in 2019 would be completed in June 2024.
He said his commitment was towards the fulfilment of the vision of the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu by prioritising the completion of unfinished projects.
He emphasized the importance of delivering the Oda road before the onset of the rainy season, pledging the government’s support to the contractor to ensure timely completion.
He added that his administration was dedicated to enhancing infrastructure for the benefit of all citizens.
