#KnowYourLawmakers: Adewale Williams Adewinle of Ondo West Constituency II at ODHA

Mr. Adewale Williams Adewinle was born on 27th March 1970 in Ondo city to the family of Adewinle in the Ondo Kingdom. He has served as a Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State between 2012 to 2013. He is currently representing Ondo West Constituency II in the Ondo State House of Assembly.

Early Life and Education

Mr. Adewale Williams Adewinle attended Igunsin Community Grammar School, Igunsin between 1980 to 1985 and Community High School, Igburowo between 1993 to 1994. He is a graduate of Adekunle of Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko with a Bachelor of Science. (Hons) in Sociology and a Masters in Criminology and Security Studies respectively.

His Experience and Politics

Between 2005 to 2006, he worked with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). He has served as a Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State between 2012 to 2013. In 2014, he joined J & F Global Treasures, Lagos where he was until 2017 when he was appointed a supervisor for works, Ondo West local government of Ondo State. On 3rd June 2019, Mr. Adewinle was inaugurated as a member of the Ondo State of House of Assembly representing Ondo West Constituency II.

Adewale participated at the Re-energizing the Local Government Project; a two-day workshop organized by Bluehorn Global Consult in conjunction with Ondo State Government; July 3rd – 4th, 2018. Also, he had presented a paper on the topic; Cause and Consequence of Housing Policy failure in Nigeria. A paper he presented at housing studies Association Conference 2012 titled How is Housing System Coping? Held between April 18th to 20th – 2012 at Centre for Housing Policy, University of York, Heslington York, United Kingdom.
