#KnowYourLawmakers: Aderoboye Samuel of Odigbo Constituency II at ODHA

Mr. Aderoboye Samuel Ademoye was born at Araromi-Obu six decades ago. He served as the Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly between 1999 to 2003. Again in 2019, he re-contested and won the House of Assembly seat for Odigbo Constituency II. He is the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Early Life and Education

Mr. Aderoboye attended Saint Peter’s (Anglican Pry School, Araromi-Obu) for primary school leaving certificate between 1966-1971. Between 1973 to 1980, he attended Eyemote Comprehensive High School, Iyin Ekiti, and Anglican Grammar School, Igbara-Oke respectively for his West African School Certificate. In 1985, he bagged a Diploma from the University of Benin, Benin City. He proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he bagged Bachelor of Science in Second Class Upper Division in 2007.

In 1992, he was decorated as a member of the Fire Fighters for Christ West Minister.

Experience and Political Journeys

Mr. Aderoboye has worked with reputable companies in Nigeria of which include:

  • Champion Trading Company Limited, Lagos 1986 to 1988
  • Bizga International Limited, Lagos as a senior consultant from 1988 to 1999 with his key responsibilities in consultancy duties on project financing and debt recovery and other related assignments.
  • Ondo State Sports Council (OSSC) 1978 to 1983
  • Ondo State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2003 as a deputy speaker.

  • Nigerian University Education Student’s Association UNN Nsukka – Award of Excellence                                                                         2005/2006

  • Member, Ondo State Conflict Resolution Committee 2002
  • Member Hockey Board Association 2002
  • Member Chess Boards Association 2002
  • Founder, Aderoboye Hockey Foundation 2001
  • Ground Patron (NAOSS), National Association of Ondo State Students, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State                                                                   2001-2002
