Oluseun Onigbinde, global director of BudgIT, has announced a tech fellowship for youth residents in Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

BudgIT is a Nigerian civic organisation that applies technology for citizen engagement with institutional improvement to facilitate societal change. The company, which launched operations in Lagos, Nigeria, was founded by Oluseun Onigbinde and Joseph Agunbiade in 2011 to provide social advocacy using technology.

Mr Onigbinde disclosed this via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The fellowship is to be coordinated by The Proximity Trust, a platform that showcases the ideas and works of Oluseun Onigbinde, and his family, with a focus on being proximate to their roots and communities.

The learning track for the intending fellows includes product design, software development, digital marketing, data analytics and visualisation.

Application closes on April 10, 2023.
